| After signing with German record label AFM Records and releasing their first full-length album "The Darkest Room" world-wide in 2009 (charting at 36th place on the Swedish album charts), Swedish Gothenburg based Heavy Metal act MANIMAL found themselves being compared to the likes of Judas Priest and Queensryche, as the debut album received fantastic response in media with high ratings.
With their sophomore album "Trapped In The Shadows", released by AFM in 2015, MANIMAL was more than ready to live up to the hype, having received an average of 8/10 review points in recognized metal magazines like Metal Hammer, Rock It, Sweden Rock Magazine, ROCKS and Aardschok Magazine, as well as
having the legendary Metal singer Udo Dirkschneider appearing on the track "The Journey".
In March 2016, MANIMAL headed out on a nearly sold out European tour together with the German acts Orden Ogan and Almanac, followed by another extensive European tour in 2017, as main support for guitar-legend Gus G (Ozzy Osbourne) and his FIREWIND.
MANIMAL's third full-length album "Purgatorio" was released on September 2018. The release was celebrated with a performance at ProgPower USA in Atlanta, on the day of the release. In early 2019 the band hit the road for a European tour, once again. This time together with label mates Bloodbound and Dynazty.
December 3rd 2021 was the release date of MANIMAL's long-awaited fourth studio album "Armageddon". After the release the band did a sold out show in their hometown of Kungsbacka to celebrate MANIMAL's 20th anniversary followed by festival shows in Europe. In 2023 MANIMAL will, except for festival shows, do their very first headliner tour in Europe. The tour will happen in November and joining as supports are Mentalist and Generation Steel.
Touring and playing festivals like Sweden Rock Festival, Sabaton Open Air and Basinfirefest, to name a few, since MANIMALs birth in 2001 have developed their skills as a live force to be reckoned with.
